First, "I am president and you are not, therefore my opinion about X is correct" may or may not be ridiculous, depending on what X is. For example, if X is "a matter on which I have top-secret intelligence", the above statement is perfectly reasonable. If X is "everything in life", as Trump essentially said, it is ridiculous.
Second, Obama did not even contradict Trump. Trump said "Obama is the worst president,", Obama answered "at least, I am the president". There is no contradiction. Obama just poked fun at Trump, by pointing out that no matter how bad a president Obama is, he still achieved more in life than Trump. Probably, because he knew that Trump is very sensitive about his own achievements, and this would be annoy him.
