Devin Nunes canceled a public hearing where former deputy attorney general Sally Yates was going to testify, mostly about the Michael Flynn affair and his conversations with the Russian ambassador. Reason? The White House believes that her version of events will differ from theirs (not surprising, since Trump and Spicer lie on a daily basis), so they requested Yates to refuse to testify. She refused their request, so Nunes canceled the hearing altogether. Some investigation we are having, eh?
It became blindingly obvious that all Nunes is trying to do is to cover-up whatever misdeeds Trump and his team committed. Unless he steps down from the House investigation, Democrats should not participate in this charade.

Адам Шифф:
"Whether the White House’s desire to avoid a public claim of executive privilege to keep her from providing the full truth on what happened contributed to the decision to cancel today’s hearing, we do not know. But we would urge the open hearing be rescheduled without further delay and that Ms. Yates be able to testify freely and openly so that the public may understand, among other matters, when the President was informed that his National Security Advisor had misled the Vice President, and through him the country, and why the President waited as long as he did to fire Mr. Flynn."
