Dec. 2nd, 2017 01:42 pmYesterday Trump declared he knew that Flynn lied to FBI when he fired him. A few days later he asked Comey to go easy on Flynn. When Comey ignored this request, he was fired too. Isn't this obstruction of justice? It seems this is what Mueller is going for.
On the other hand, while collusion with a foreign power is not a crime, apparently, there is now a good amount of evidence that Trump and his campaign colluded with Russia. Both "quid" and "quo" are now apparent: Putin offered Trump "dirt" on Clinton in the form of stolen emails, and Trump and his team promised a lifting of sanctions and lucrative contracts in the Middle East for Russian state companies (and also, as a sweetener, some contracts to Ukrainian companies, so that Ukraine does not object too much to the lifting of sanctions).
