QFT and math

Майк Дуглас сейчас делает доклад (live stream) в UPenn про попытки строго определить, что такое КТП.

PS. Начал с того, что напомнил историю взаимодействия между математикой и физикой, пожурил физиков за нелюбовь к теоремам и призвал их больше интересоваться строгими результатами.

Well, in my opinion a more palatable approach to QFT than one shown in most books would be highly desirable. Perhaps a fully rigorous construction is not to be hoped for, but I'd like at least to see something not based on obviously incorrect mathematics, like a "renormalized" perturbative expansion of a "Feynman integral". The fact that incorrect mathematics can lead to results in agreement with experiment should be taken as a warning ("careful! we still don't have a theory") and not a confirmation of the validity of this theory.
